Every other Sunday I’ll bring you a short but sweet, pick and mix, of things worth sharing from the fortnight gone by, delivered to your inbox ready for a lazy, morning scroll while you’re still in your PJ’s. It’s free to read.
Sunday 23rd February
Hello!
This weekend, I wish I was waking . . .
in this pretty Frenchie pyjama set in Leopard by London based loungewear brand It’s 9pm. How chic!
So too am I dreaming of dozing under a duvet at The Gunton Arms, not new, but freshly painted in my mind after passing through Gunton station on my recent trip to North Norfolk. From the train window I also spotted their newer Sister pub Suffield Arms which looks exactly like the kind of place I’d like to while away a Sunday afternoon!
Psssst ….
Whispers from the chair the last couple of weeks have included a TV show recommendation from L - Mr Inbetween on Disney+. An Australian masterpiece that seems relatively unknown over here. “Ray Shoesmith ‘takes care of people’ — collecting debts, relieving them of drugs and guns, and often taking care of them on a more permanent basis. Ray demands respect and does not tolerate others disregarding his very clear code of ethics. As Ray’s increasingly volatile work collides with his imploding personal life, he finds himself struggling to stay atop the complex web he has woven.” - FX Networks. Watch the official series trailer here.
Also, on the subject of TV, there’s been lots of excitement in the chair because The White Lotus is back!! This time around the resort is in Thailand. It won’t be the same without Tanya (RIP) but it looks set to keep us glued to our screens once again. Watch the trailer here.
L endorsed a couple of new Richmond spots that had completely bypassed me! Via Romana Deli on Pavement Court aka Ted Lasso’s street, for traditional, Italian, deli counter sandwiches served on “Pizza Bianca Romana” flatbread, a light, crisp, and irresistibly flavourful bread that is a true homage to Roman culinary tradition. Of course I jumped straight to it and picked up a sandwich for lunch within days of obtaining this intel - very good! L also suggested Long Black for Australian inspired coffee on Richmond Hill, next on my visit list.
L gave the thumbs up to Ilia’s Lip Wrap Overnight Mask.
In other news I took the Uber Boat down the Thames for the very first time this week and now I want to do the entire stretch from Putney to Greenwich - such a relaxing way to take in the city sights!
I’ve been starting my mornings with a gorgeous spritz of Energising Boost Shower Mist from Norfolk Natural Living, a slow-luxury lifestyle brand, designed to bring a little beauty and pleasure to your daily rituals. To use, you simply spritz 2-3 times into your shower, turn on the water, and let the steam release the delicate herbal fragrance into the air. Essential oils of thyme, basil, grapefruit, black pepper, ginger and peppermint awaken the senses. A lovely way to begin your day!
I’ve begun reading The Quiet Moon by Kevin Parr, Pathways to an Ancient Way of Being. A deep dive into reconnecting with the moon’s natural calendar as the ancient Celts would have. I’m planning on reading a chapter a month in line with each new moon cycle. “In The Quiet Moon, Kevin Parr discovers that a year of moons has much to teach us about how to live in the world that surrounds us- and how being more in tune to the rhythms of nature, even in the cold and dark, can help ease the suffering mind.”
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

I didn't know shower mists were a thing but I'm now curious! Totally checking that book out too, it sounds up my street!
Lovely set of recommendations, as always!
Yes the mist was a new concept to me too but it’s a lovely moment of wellbeing in my daily routine now! The book and the mist both souvenirs from Norfolk! X
