Every other Sunday I’ll bring you a short but sweet, pick and mix, of things worth sharing from the fortnight gone by, lists and links, delivered to your inbox ready for a lazy, morning scroll while you’re still in your PJ’s. It’s free to read.
Sunday 18th May
Good Morning, I hope your week has been a good one. I’m indulging in a weekend of rest and wellbeing over here, morning coffees and books in bed, a yoga and sound bath session, long walks, long baths, all of the good stuff!
This weekend, I wish I was waking . .
At: No.124 Brighton
The latest hotel by GuestHouse, on Brighton seafront. Think opulent rooms, record players with vinyl, a pantry to raid at leisure if you’re feeling ‘snacky’, sundowner’s on the terrace, spa treatments, breakfast lunch and dinner, (room service available) it’s dog friendly too.

J first told me about the crepe cafe on a private island on the Thames in Weybridge - D'Oyly Carte Island - last year and now there’s a whole Summer schedule of wellbeing experiences being hosted here too. Worth a look!
K and I chatted jewellery, I’m often complimented on my pieces by Loft & Daughter, they have the nicest designs, the loveliest values and the kindest founder.
Good things of note from the last fortnight . .
Ordering:
Pret’s new chicken satay baguette on repeat - it’s a goodie!
Wandering:
Stowe Gardens, (National Trust) in Buckinghamshire (A massive 250 acres to explore! It’s vast) You can even stay in this gothic temple on the grounds via The Landmark Trust. Our visit timed with their open day so we got to take a peek inside!
Reading:
Eat Right, Lose Weight: Your individual blueprint for long-term weight loss and better health by Nutritional & Nutrigenomics Practitioner and Metabolic Coach Pippa Campbell Her method involves first identifying your metabolic type and then determining a way of eating that suits you personally, prepping for change (the bit that I think takes the most commitment!) and then following a 21 day plan. (chicken satay baguettes are not on the menu sadly!)
Supplementing:
With Bare Biology’s Rise & Shine Omega-3 Plus Vitamin D3 Capsules. I’m now 2 years into (surgically induced) menopause and achey joints can be troublesome. Following a blood test, my GP suggested I take Vitamin D3 and this daily dose has the added benefit of EPA and DHA (the two most important types of omega-3) for all-round health and immunity support.
I’m a bit of a supplement sceptic but I remember when the brand first launched during my time at Space NK, meeting the founder and getting a really good feel for the quality. I absolutely love how informative and transparent their website is, how they offer third party test results and certificates for people (like myself) that love a deep dive into the nitty gritty and science and how they answer pretty much any question you might have in their well thought out FAQ section. The brand has evolved over the years and now offers an entire range of omega-3, magnesium, collagen, and vitamin D supplements. It’s hardly surprising that they have become a go-to choice for Dr’s and Nutritional Therapists alike. I highly recommend checking them out! (You can use this link and save £5)
Admiring:
Smith & Munson’s latest offerings - Peony season has arrived and if their tulips are anything to go by, their peonies will be TOP tier! They are currently growing six amazing varieties and the season should last from mid May to the end of June! Order here. (10% off first order)
