Richmond is seriously bursting at the seams with coffee shops, but a more recent addition, and somewhere I’ve been returning to if I’m near the riverside, is Wolk. Their coffee is delicious!
Never yet had a piece, but their San Sebastian cheesecake looks all kinds of wonderful too!

The river is the obvious choice for a little wander. If you go in the direction of ‘the flooding pub’ The White Cross you’ll pass a section of little arches that have a couple of businesses tucked inside. I always admire these, especially the pottery studio that belongs to Ceramic Artist Michelle Moradi. How incredible it must be to look out onto the river, especially at high tide when the water reaches right up to the window!
