This is really helpful information. Thank you so much! I was wondering if you might have recommendations for scalp treatments? I have never tried one.

Thanks for reading Shannon.

I’m a big advocate of Weleda’s Revitalising Hair Tonic with Rosemary.

It’s been around since the 1920’s so has really stood the test of time! Rosemary helps to stimulate circulation and increase blood flow to the scalp and in turn, the hair follicles - paired with a little massage it really helps to promote a healthy scalp and optimum conditions for healthy hair growth.

I’d recommend purchasing the spritzer top too for easier application.

The best feature? The texture is like water! So you can spritz onto the scalp over wet or dry hair and it dries in as water would, leaving no greasy residue behind! I think is what sets it apart, because it easily fits into your routine - it doesn’t need to be wash day to use it!

Apply twice a day for best results (I usually recommend to do it before or after brushing your teeth so it becomes habit)

Any suggestions for a leave in scalp conditioner??

Hello, thanks for reading Lucy.

In general I wouldn’t encourage conditioning the scalp as it can become oily sooner after washing.

I can’t say I have ever used a scalp conditioner come to think of it, so no recs I’m afraid.

If it’s to target a dry or itchy scalp I’d recommend a tonic or serum instead as they’ll be much lighter in texture generally.

Absolutely love the hot cross bun analogy for parting the hair when washing! Will definitely be doing that!!
